Sally Van Zandt         1927-          born Bushnell, Nebraska
As a child, I dreamed of flying , but always thought it was a dream. Then school
and a family and it wasn't until my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding
anniversary that he surprised me with a ticket for FLYING LESSONS. I was never
very coordinated, but it was  like a whole new world was opened for me. I felt as
if I learned to "drive" a plane with my private license; I really learned to ""fly" with
my Commercial Ticket. Most of my flying has been in Nebraska & Wyoming, with
jaunts to the Bahamas. I have been active in the Nebraska 99's & in the South
Central Section as well as working as a Judge with the National Intercollegiate
Flying Association. I taught Human Development & the Family at the Univ. of
Nebraska for 30 years. Now retired, I spend winter in Arizona & summer in
Nebraska.
